Project Description
The construction of the building at the Josefstrasse 151 dates back to 1894. It is situated at the corner of an urban block. Whereas the original design of the facade was preserved, the building was toped by an additional contemporary roof extension. After reorganisation the building contains now 9 apartments, all designed in a minimalist way that contrasts with the exterior of the building.
Only few and precisely directed light was used in order to support the calm atmosphere of the city apartments. The design of the fittings follows the minimalist architecture. The attic flat is a spacious volume structured by the sculptural stairs and the extended length of the kitchen. Both elements are underlined by artificial light. Spotlights focused on the polished chrome accessories and ceramics transform the bath into a valuable location of recreation.
